Discovery Flights at the Flight Line

Availability is limited; you must reserve your flight prior to Tuesday, April 2, 2024.

Fixed-wing: The cost is $95 plus tax for 40 minutes in the Cessna 172. Plan one hour for the entire activity. Closed-toe shoes and long pants are required. Please plan to drive your own vehicle to the flight line. In previous years, flights filled up well before the reservation deadline.

Astronomical Observatory Viewing

View Jupiter, Uranus and the Orion Nebula through telescopes. Tour the optical and radio telescope facilities used for on-campus research projects, hosted by astronomy students and faculty. Vans will run between the campus and the observatory at regular intervals from 7-9 p.m., with the last vans departing campus at 8:30 p.m.
