The Golden Eagles Flight Team

The Golden Eagles Flight Team was founded in 1979 as the first student organization established at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Prescott campus. Since then, the team has remained grounded in the core values that define champions: legacy, pride, safety and responsibility.

With 16 national championships and 39 consecutive regional championships, the Golden Eagles are one of the most successful collegiate flight teams in the nation. Today’s success is built on the foundation laid by exceptional coaches and devoted team members who have passed down a culture of excellence.

Want to Become a Golden Eagle?

Any Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University – Prescott student is welcome to join the team. Tryouts begin at the start of the fall semester with an info night followed by a six-week tryout period. Team members are then selected from a process of interviews and weekly evaluations. Learn more today!
