Financial aid may be available for Eagles interested in taking summer coursework. Students are automatically considered for summer financial aid if they meet the criteria below:

  • Have a valid 2023-2024 FAFSA on file at Embry-Riddle.
  • Complete all Tasks (To Do List items) on ERNIE.
  • Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards.
  • Enroll in Embry-Riddle summer classes.
    • Please note: half-time summer enrollment is required for summer Federal Direct Loans for students and parents (6 or more summer credit hours for undergraduates).
    • Parent PLUS Loans and Private Loans require separate applications and credit-approval.

Prescott summer aid will be offered starting mid-April. Students will receive an email notification when summer aid is offered. Prescott students seeking summer aid estimates prior to mid-April may contact their financial aid counselor.

Available summer aid programs:

  • Federal Pell Grant1
  • Federal Student Loans (Subsidized/Unsubsidized)
  • Federal Parent PLUS Loans
  • Federal Graduate PLUS Loans
  • Private Student Loans
  • Student Employment
  • ERAU Payment Plan

Note: Institutional Funded Scholarships (IFS) are not available during summer.

The summer cost of attendance and financial aid offer will be determined based on the number of summer credit hours enrolled and may fluctuate after summer enrollment changes2. The amount of summer aid disbursed is based on actual summer enrollment.

1 Some Federal Pell Grant recipients may qualify for Pell even if enrolled in less than half-time for summer.

2 Any changes to summer enrollment, including dropping below 6 credit hours, changing sessions or withdrawing, will result in your financial aid being revised and may result in a balance due on your account.
