Astronomical Observatory Viewing

View Saturn, the Dumbbell Nebula and other interesting astronomical objects through our telescopes at the on-campus observatory. Tour the facilities being used for student projects both in classes and for student research projects, hosted by the Astronomy Club and faculty. Vans will run between the Campus Visitor Center and the observatory at regular intervals from 7-9 p.m., with the last vans departing the Visitor Center at 8:30 p.m.

Discovery Flights

Discovery flights will be available on Friday, October 25, and Saturday, October 26, from Noon-5 p.m. Availability is limited; you must reserve your flight prior to Wednesday, October 23, 2024. Weather permitting. The cost is $95 plus tax for 40 minutes in the Cessna 172. Plan one hour for the entire activity. Closed-toe shoes and long pants are required. Please plan to drive your own vehicle to the flight line.

In previous years, flights filled up well before the reservation deadline.
