Distant Universe

This program uses the London Symphony Orchestra’s recording of Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 to take the audience through the science and discoveries of the recently launched James Webb Space Telescope. Each of the three movements of the concerto becomes a mini episode of cosmic wonder. From the beginnings of the universe to the formation of galaxies to the incredible views of gas, dust, and stars populating our galactic neighborhood, we will explore it all.

This program will last for approximately 45 minutes. Please remember to arrive at the planetarium at least 10 minutes prior to the showtime indicated on your ticket. For more information, please visit our Frequently Asked Questions page.
