Major Alexander Daniels is the Education Officer and Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies for the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) Detachment 028, located at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Prescott, Arizona.

Major Daniels entered the Air Force in May 2014 through AFROTC from University of Hawaii at Manoa and graduated from the Weather Officer Course in October 2014.  He has since held a variety of meteorology positions and taken part in several multi-national exercises located at Fort Hood, Texas, Nellis AFB, Nevada, Erbil, Iraq, Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, and Camp Arifjan, Kuwait.

Major Daniels served as the Weather Officer-in-Charge to a one-star general while deployed to Task Force Erbil, Iraq, where his weather injects facilitated the efficient planning and execution of precision airstrikes against ISIS while also providing on-the-spot meteorological assessments in direct support of special operations teams.  Maj Daniels has also deployed to Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, and led a 6-member team providing weather support forecasts for all incoming and outgoing aircraft.

Maj Daniels has also served as the Weather Officer-in-Charge for the 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.  Prior to his current position, he served as a Flight Commander at the 57th Operations Support Squadron where he led a team of twenty Airmen charged with observing, forecasting and disseminating meteorological impacts to ground and air operations for Nellis AFB and training ranges in southern Nevada and California.  As the lead meteorologist, Maj Daniels also led his team in providing critical support to large scale exercises enabling the safe planning, synchronization, and execution of all flying operations.
