After the total solar eclipse makes its way across parts of the United States on April 8th, 2024, the planetarium will provide a special recap event on April 20th. We will share exciting views taken of the eclipse from eminent astronomical institutions, including Lowell Observatory; set up solar telescopes for close-up views of the Sun (weather permitting); have some food to enjoy; and have Sun- and eclipse-related goodies for you to use and take home with you. Join us from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 20th for this special event!

This program will last for approximately two hours, but you do not need to stay for the whole time. This event is more informal than most planetarium shows, providing you with the opportunity to join us inside the planetarium at certain points and also head outside for food and telescopes when the urge strikes you.
