Embry-Riddle participates in a variety of award programs that are offered through federal, state, institutional, and private sources.

There are several federal programs available for U.S. citizens or permanent residents who are enrolled at least half-time in a degree program, making satisfactory academic progress, and are not in default or owing a return repayment on a grant or loan.

The following Federal programs are available to eligible Embry-Riddle students:

  • Federal Pell Grant
  • Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)
  • Federal Stafford Loan Program (subsidized and unsubsidized)
  • Federal Perkins Loan
  • Federal Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students (PLUS)

Arizona only makes their grants available to residents attending a school in Arizona. For more information, you can visit the Department of Higher Education website at www.azhighered.gov.

State grant programs from Delaware, Maryland, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont make grant amounts available to students who are residents attending school in any state. For information on grant amounts from these states, please contact your state's Department of Higher Education or the Embry-Riddle Financial Aid Office. Further information is available at the following states' sites: DelawareMarylandMichiganPennsylvania and Rhode Island.

Embry-Riddle has several institutional programs available to our students. Contact the Financial Aid Office to discuss programs for which you may be eligible, such as:

  • Renewable Scholarships and Grants

Most international students (non-U.S. citizens who enter the United States with either an F-1 or J-1 Student Visa and who will return to their home country upon completion of their studies) are not eligible for the student loan, grant, and work study programs offered by the United States federal government.

Although financial assistance for international students is limited, resources are available for helping meet educational expenses. The comprehensive website www.edupass.org answers many questions about attending school in the United States and includes a scholarship search for awards, sponsors, and bursaries. You may also contact Embry-Riddle's Financial Aid Office for more information.
