Embry-Riddle’s staff, faculty and instructors continue our university’s long-standing history of providing uncompromisingly diverse academic and operational experience to the university’s flight training program.
By utilizing the department’s advisory council, contacts in the aviation industry and association with major carriers, our Flight Training Department remains on the leading edge of the latest industry requirements so our graduates take point and provide leadership and innovation in today’s technology-focused world. Furthermore, we adhere and adapt to the changing needs and necessary degree qualifications that match the each student’s career path as we prepare them for the future of their choosing.
Our Department of Flight staff is supplemented by the Staff from UHI Helicopters, who oversee the new Rotary-Wing program.
Chief Flight Instructor
Ryan is an alumni of Embry-Riddle and has been a flight instructor since 2000. He is currently the Chief Flight Instructor for the Prescott Flight Training Department.
Jerry Kidrick has been an Army aviator since 1977. He holds an FAA Commercial pilot rating, is rated in 7 different Army helicopters and has been Instructor pilot qualified since 1980.
Training Manager Team 1
Brent is an alumni of the Embry-Riddle Prescott and Worldwide campuses with a BS in Aeronautical Science and MBA in Aviation. Brent joined the department in 2012 and has served as a Standards Instructor and Flight Instructor prior to his current role as Training Manager.
Training Manager Team 2
David is working on his seventh year as a Training Manager at the ERAU-Prescott flight line and has been a Certificated Flight Instructor for twenty five years. He is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a Masters Degree in Aerospace Education. He also holds an Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic certificate with Inspection Authorization.
Training Manager Team 3
Josh is an Embry-Riddle alumnus with a bachelors and masters degree. He holds a Commercial and Airline Transport Pilot certificate and currently acts as a Flight and Check Instructor, Training Manager, and Assistant Chief Instructor for the University.

Brian is an Alumni of Embry Riddle and now serves as the Aviation Safety Program Manager Flight.
