Biology Laboratory

Two brand new state-of-the-art biology laboratories provide vast opportunities for active learning and experience with professional grade equipment.

Activities performed in the labs include tissue sampling and analysis of DNA evidence and blood types, polymerase chain reaction (PCR), genetic sequencing, microscopy techniques, biochemical analyses of body fluids and environmental contaminants, anatomy and physiology, as well as animal, plant and microbial identification.

These laboratory facilities allow Embry-Riddle to teach cutting-edge forensic biology and wildlife science so that graduates may solve cases and help prevent acts of crime and terror, or successfully manage an ecosystem with human and animal interaction. Whether it’s examining DNA to help determine guilt or innocence, managing the wildlife ecosystem surrounding an airport, or linking exploded bomb fragments to terrorists, the graduates from Embry-Riddle will be well prepared to succeed in the workforce.
