On behalf of the students, faculty, and staff of Embry-Riddle’s beautiful western campus in the mountains of Northern Arizona, welcome!
At Embry-Riddle, we provide a university education that is personal, student-focused, and totally immersive. We are constantly building on our tradition of excellence by innovating and improving to meet the needs of our students, the industries we cater to, and the nation in which we live. Here, we bring together the best and brightest students from all 50 states and over 40 foreign countries to succeed in a wide variety of demanding degree programs in a student-focused university environment. We know our students by their names, celebrate their achievements, and are pleased to provide an exceptional and rigorous learning experience. Our faculty, many of whom come to us with years of real-life industry experience, are the absolute best in their fields. Our focus on hands-on, project-based, experiential learning routinely takes our students all over the world, participating in a variety of projects, competitions, and internships.
As campus Chancellor, there are so many things that make me proud. In addition to our reputation as the worldwide leader in aviation and aerospace education, we also offer internationally recognized programs in Business, Security and Intelligence, and many other emerging fields. We have strong and fruitful relationships with companies and industries worldwide—who hire our graduates upon graduation.
In the past four years, we have invested more than $50 million renovating our athletic complex and fitness center for utilization by all students, added two first-class residence halls with over 400 beds, and opened the 52,000 square-foot STEM Education Center featuring the Jim and Linda Lee Planetarium. A brand new student union is scheduled to be built within the next couple of years.
Our Golden Eagles Flight Team have won the past 33 consecutive regional championships and are 12-time national champions. It’s official – they are the winningest collegiate flight team in the nation over the last two decades! And with more than 100 clubs and organizations and 14 men’s and women’s sports, there is always something fun to do on or off campus.
Embry-Riddle’s Prescott Campus is a great place to be-- from the beautiful mountain scenery, abundant sunshine, mild four-season climate, and the outdoor activities it affords to the world-class students and faculty that live here.
I look forward to seeing all of the great things you will do as a part of the Embry-Riddle community!
