As the capstone course for the Embry-Riddle Airline Track of our Aeronautical Science degree program, we use the FAA Level-D, full-motion CRJ-700 Flight Simulator, which is the same simulator used by leading regional airlines.
Upper-level students in the Airline Track of our Aeronautical Science degree program will use the CRJ-700 simulator to familiarize themselves with this widely used aircraft type. Along with accurately simulating aircraft flight operations, students develop the specialized crew-task and cockpit resource management (CRM) skills and knowledge they will need to earn a Restricted Air Transport Rating and ultimately land that coveted “right seat” with a regional airline.
The Level D CRJ-700 simulator is specifically designed to meet that goal. It is the perfect environment for sharpening skills with cockpit resource management (CRM), electronic flight management systems, advanced aeronautical decision-making and high-speed, high-altitude turbofan aircraft systems operation.
