Student Disability Grievance Procedures

Embry Riddle Aeronautical University has adopted an internal grievance procedure providing for prompt and equitable resolution of complaints alleging any action prohibited under Section 504 and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.

Students registered with Disability Support Services who have complaints about any service or accommodation requests or in receiving their accommodations from faculty or staff should take their concerns to the Director of Disability Support Services. If these attempts do not result in a satisfactory resolution of the problem, students may file a formal grievance with the Dean of Students by following the grievance procedures found in the Student Handbook, “Student Rights and Responsibilities, Grievance Procedure”.

Although students are encouraged to attempt to resolve complaints pertaining to disabilities by using this Grievance Procedure, they have the right to file a complaint directly with the U.S. Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights (OCR).
