“We are extremely excited about the dual enrollment program,” said Dr. Frank Ayers, Chancellor of Embry-Riddle’s Prescott, Arizona Campus. “We believe this offering is a great opportunity for high school students to get an introduction to university level coursework, earn credit towards a degree.”
Dual enrollment courses will be taught by trained high school teachers who are approved to teach college-level courses by the appropriate Embry-Riddle academic department, with continuing professional development from high schools in the Chandler Unified School District. The courses will focus on high school juniors and seniors, but will be open to younger students as well. The online modality will also be offered through Embry-Riddle via the Worldwide Campus for Microeconomics and Macroeconomics.
The relationship offers several dual enrollment classes including; Introduction to Engineering, Introduction to Computing for Engineers, Computer-Aided Conceptual Design of Aerospace Systems, Digital Circuit Design, Digital Circuit Laboratory, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Space Transportation Systems, Space Stations Systems and Operations.
