Embry-Riddle Prescott Campus Tops in Arizona Places to Work
Prescott, AZ., February 7, 2012
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Prescott campus has been rated one of the 100 Best Places to Work in Arizona by BestCompaniesAZ.
“This award recognizes the hard work and sense of community that our faculty, staff and students display every day,” said Frank Ayers, executive vice president and chief academic officer of the Prescott, Ariz., campus of Embry-Riddle. “Embry-Riddle is simply a great place to work and to learn!”
The “100 Best” were selected by BestCompaniesAZ and community business leaders, based on proprietary research of award-winning companies during the past 10 years. BestCompaniesAZ has worked with hundreds of Arizona companies such as Dignity Health (formerly CHW of Arizona), McMurry and Mayo Clinic, to help them promote their workplace culture and put Arizona among the top ranks of desirable states to work.
Embry-Riddle was honored in the “Best of Heart” category for building sustainable relationships with employees, customers and the community, and culmination of previous workplace awards. Embry-Riddle will be featured in a centennial commemorative magazine that will be published in May by BestCompaniesAZ and Republic Media. More than 10,000 copies of the publication will be distributed across the state to business leaders, universities, economic development organizations, and business associations. The publication also will be used at special recruitment events throughout the year.
In 2011, Embry-Riddle also was named as one of Arizona’s Most Admired Companies by BestCompaniesAZ.
Embry-Riddle’s Prescott campus employs about 300 faculty and staff and is home to approximately 1,700 students from 50 states and 25 countries.
