What is Upward Bound?
If college is your dream...
Upward Bound is a federally funded program for high school students. High School students selected to participate in the Upward Bound program are committed to preparing for a post secondary (college) education. The Upward Bound Program is designed to give participants the tools, skills and knowledge to be successful in high school and at the university level. Students enrolled in Upward Bound are four times more likely to attend college.

Upward Bound is completely free to all participants, including:

- End of the summer trip
- Upward Bound banquet

Who is eligible for Upward Bound?
- Students in the 9th, 10th or 11th grade from Tri-City College Prep School, Chino Valley, Mayer, and Bradshaw Mountain high schools
- First-generation to attend college (i.e., parents/guardians do not have a four-year degree)
- Families who meet federal guidelines for financial eligibility.
