The Helicopter Flight Minor Provides Superior Strategies and Instruction in Maneuvering

The interdisciplinary curriculum of a helicopter minor will help prepare you for a range of opportunities in the aviation industry. Whether you are preparing for a career in flight, aviation safety, a military career through the ROTC program, aviation business careers or graduate study, a helicopter minor builds your aviation-related knowledge, management and leadership skills.
The Helicopter Flight Minor can be combined with any B.S. degree program. Embry-Riddle does not currently offer helicopter flight lessons. These may be taken at any approved Part 141 flight school, several of which are nearby campus. Requirements for the 15 hours of course work include three FAA approved Part 141 ground school courses and three corresponding helicopter certificates. Two mandatory classes for the minor are the Private and Commercial ground schools. You may then choose between either Instrument of Flight Instructor ground schools.
