Global Security and Intelligence Studies
The Global Security and Intelligence Studies program (GSIS) combines academics and professional studies to prepare students to become future leaders in the intelligence and security communities. Within the GSIS degree program, students can choose to either take the GSIS standard track or the GSIS/Chinese track. Students taking the GSIS/Chinese track will spend the summer of their sophomore year studying abroad in China.
Students will have the opportunity to take advantage of internships in local, state, and national agencies seeking intelligence and security personnel. The Federal Bureau of Investigation, the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Northern Command, and Boeing, among others, have provided internship opportunities for past students. In addition to internships, students will have the opportunity to interact with professional faculty and staff who have had experience in the intelligence and security industries.
