Medical Flight Groundings

Flight students can be medically grounded by the Wellness Center. Students must call or come into the office 30 minutes prior to the scheduled activity for an excuse. If the office is closed, a message can be left on the voice mail after hours and following the instructions. Students will not be scheduled for flight activities during the time of illness or injury. Once recovered the student must come into the office and sign in to be ungrounded and be able to resume flight activities.

No-Shows:
Students will receive a no-show slip in their boxes for any activity that is missed. The slip must be brought into the Wellness Center, signed, and then turned in to the flight line petition box within 10 days of the missed activity.

FAA Medicals:
Flight Students must have second class medical. Flight Certificates should be sent to Training Managers. View the FAA website to find a list of providers for FAA exams.
