LIGO Optics Lab

Used for extensive projects in optics. This lab provides the experimentalist side of Emby-Riddle’s LIGO group specializing in optical coatings research. Houses two to three long-term undergraduate projects, and two long term faculty/graduate student projects.

  • 1550 nm low noise fabri-perot cavity
  • Thermal effects coating research oven and spectrometer
  • Scatterometer
  • Electronics workshop
