Robertson Aviation Safety Center II
Abbreviation: RASC II
Opened in Fall 2009, RASCII is home to the Industrial Hygiene Lab, the Aviation Safety and Security Archives, and the Ergonomics Lab.
- The Industrial Hygiene Lab is where students evaluate hazardous environmental agents and factors, using state-of the art equipment as they learn how to recognize, evaluate, and control workplace exposures. The lab is equipped with instruments to measure noise, illumination, indoor air quality, solvents, gases and vapor particulates, to test ventilation systems, and more.
- The Aviation Safety and Security Archives provides information about aviation safety and security to faculty, students and the aviation community. As a repository, it promotes research by identifying, acquiring, preserving and making available primary and unique records, manuscripts and material. As a portal, it facilitates access to information relating to aviation and aviation/aerospace safety and security.
- The Ergonomics Laboratory is devoted to understanding the functional parameters of the human body in the workplace.
